Just an Update!

My best friend, along with her-husband-to-be, recently deleted their Facebook pages.
The more I spend on it's droning app the more I agree with her decision. FB is a time waster and distracts from so many important memories that could be made with friends and family.
Speaking of memories.

My favorite Husband Archery shot his first buck!

Never you mind the fact that he shot it on our way OUT of the night hunt. After we had spent all day hauling, chain-sawing, and stacking wood for my parents wood burning stove. We were exhausted and barely moving but the adrenaline rush kept him going until we finally got home about 1 AM and fell into bed.

We both got hit with the nasty head cold that swept Utah for the past couple weeks. Cue restless nights coughing and miserable noses.
Because of this sick fiasco Ry's skipped friday turned into work Sunday. So! Being a loner I got to have dinner with my parents, all alone, like a single child. How weird is that? Pretty weird.

We did have a delicious meal of fresh meat from a baby cow that had its life shortened. (you're welcome for that image)
Some giant beets and red potatoes with red velvet cake for a follow up dessert course.

Then my dear friends, guess who stopped by on their way home from Nauvoo! Grandparents! They hadn't even gotten home yet, they were driving back stopping at all the houses on their way. So great to see them! As a flash-back, they missed my wedding but that didn't stop her from making me this awesome blanket here.

A full year (and then some) of marriage!

This has been the best year of my life so far. I have loved being married to Ryan and can't believe how lucky I am every day to have him by my side. Here is a collection of pictures from the year.

We had the opportunity to be in a class together for a semester and did a research project that we presented together at the Weber State University Communication Symposium.

. Little baby James celebrating Easter. He didn't like the ears as much as we did. He and Dylan really are buddies... buddies that claw each others eyes out.

My best friend Rissa and I got to spend a day together at the Alpine Slide- AND SHE GOT ENGAGED. WOOT WOOT.

Jace had a pirate themed birthday for his 3rd year of life celebration and we think we had more fun than he did with our costumes and activities.

We had to say goodbye to the best dog in the world. Calie had a run in with some anti-freeze and the anti-freeze won. She will be missed for a long time.

We got to go camping several times this summer, down in the red rocks of southern Utah to see Rissa graduate, up to strawberry reservoir to go fishing, to Whitney in the Uintahs to go shooting and four-wheeling.

What a year. This was just a glimpse of all the fun that we have had and there are many years and many posts to come.
