Nearing Year Two!

I can't believe we've been married for almost two years. We have had some crazy adventures these last months.
We bought a house!
We built a window seat and painted a matching table. We gutted our backyard and are currently watching our grass grow! We planted our first garden together and hope to have a bountiful crop season.

Within that house we added a kitten, who is now almost a year old.

And just this last month we added a puppy. I could probably add a million pictures of this cute guy. He is seriously the cutest dog I have ever seen in my entire life. It's been hard adjusting to becoming a puppy parent. It is not the easiest thing in the world, amiright?

I think he is finally potty trained (fingers crossed), he is getting better at his training every day, and he is a momma's boy that just want's to be with you wherever that may be.
They make for a couple of fun animals to have around.

Ry and I went to Bear Lake to open up the cabin. We cleaned and organized areas that haven't been touched in decades. Also burned last years tree clippings, bonfire for days.

I "graduated" from Weber State University with my BS in Communication. (I walked, did the whole "scene" but am in the midst of finishing my last summer classes.)

I recently quit my job at CB Jet Center. Finally got to fly on the planes I was working with every day. I rode in the backseat of a Cherokee we put up for sale. I tried to spot myself in the video we filmed but the tinted windows prevented anyone from seeing my lovely face.

Because I quit my job I was able to take off on these fun adventures these past couple of weeks. One adventure included my baby sister turning 19. What even, man? This little twin has been my best friend and we are seriously the weirdest peeps in the world. Happy to call her mine!

On some other good news, Ryan has a test time to go take his NCLEX to become an LPN and get a pay raise and promotion. I wish I had some exciting to picture to put with that, but I'll be sure to add one when he actually has something happen that isn't a piece of paper!
We love our life!

Just an Update!

My best friend, along with her-husband-to-be, recently deleted their Facebook pages.
The more I spend on it's droning app the more I agree with her decision. FB is a time waster and distracts from so many important memories that could be made with friends and family.
Speaking of memories.

My favorite Husband Archery shot his first buck!

Never you mind the fact that he shot it on our way OUT of the night hunt. After we had spent all day hauling, chain-sawing, and stacking wood for my parents wood burning stove. We were exhausted and barely moving but the adrenaline rush kept him going until we finally got home about 1 AM and fell into bed.

We both got hit with the nasty head cold that swept Utah for the past couple weeks. Cue restless nights coughing and miserable noses.
Because of this sick fiasco Ry's skipped friday turned into work Sunday. So! Being a loner I got to have dinner with my parents, all alone, like a single child. How weird is that? Pretty weird.

We did have a delicious meal of fresh meat from a baby cow that had its life shortened. (you're welcome for that image)
Some giant beets and red potatoes with red velvet cake for a follow up dessert course.

Then my dear friends, guess who stopped by on their way home from Nauvoo! Grandparents! They hadn't even gotten home yet, they were driving back stopping at all the houses on their way. So great to see them! As a flash-back, they missed my wedding but that didn't stop her from making me this awesome blanket here.

A full year (and then some) of marriage!

This has been the best year of my life so far. I have loved being married to Ryan and can't believe how lucky I am every day to have him by my side. Here is a collection of pictures from the year.

We had the opportunity to be in a class together for a semester and did a research project that we presented together at the Weber State University Communication Symposium.

. Little baby James celebrating Easter. He didn't like the ears as much as we did. He and Dylan really are buddies... buddies that claw each others eyes out.

My best friend Rissa and I got to spend a day together at the Alpine Slide- AND SHE GOT ENGAGED. WOOT WOOT.

Jace had a pirate themed birthday for his 3rd year of life celebration and we think we had more fun than he did with our costumes and activities.

We had to say goodbye to the best dog in the world. Calie had a run in with some anti-freeze and the anti-freeze won. She will be missed for a long time.

We got to go camping several times this summer, down in the red rocks of southern Utah to see Rissa graduate, up to strawberry reservoir to go fishing, to Whitney in the Uintahs to go shooting and four-wheeling.

What a year. This was just a glimpse of all the fun that we have had and there are many years and many posts to come.
